This month the news broke that the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has spotted evidence of ice in five locations on Mars. It is the latest in a series of discoveries of water on the planet, indicating that the planet may have had a more humid climate at some stage in the last few thousand years.
Water is required for all known forms of life, so the existence of water on other planets increases the likelihood that life exists elsewhere.
i'm not sure whether this source is really talking bout the truth but anyway, i do belueve it because this is under SETI source.

The Wow! signal and Radio source SHGb02+14aIn 1977, an astronomer with SETI spotted an unusual radio signal while working on a radio telescope at Ohio State University. He was so excited by it that he wrote “Wow!” in the margin of the printout.
However, it was never spotted again. After he had calmed down, the discoverer Dr Jerry R Ehman said he believed it was “an Earth-sourced signal that simply got reflected off a piece of space debris.”

However, again there were reasons to be sceptical, not least that it came from a direction in which there are no stars for 1000 light years. While impossible to rule out extraterrestrial origin, it may have been a distorted signal from a pulsar, or just random noise. it was like really sad lo. many scientific reason can prove that sounds from the radio signal can be this and that but can't prove that there are extraterrestria lifes.However, fellow Seti Institute researcher Seth Shostak is not worried and writes off the fears as paranoid, given that "the one thing we know about aliens - if they do exist - is that they are very, very far away.so perhaps we forever won't be able to see "them" or maybe after many many generations, when tachnology are more advance.. we can communicate w them. - if they do exists.But if you think that "why don't we travel by rocket and go deep into the universe to check whether there are really life existence?"This question i had thought before,but if we really travel deep into the space, the pressure, may let our brain burst !!!!it's another reason that it tooks millions of years to travel from here to there.so it's totally impossible for us to live such a longgg years, if we are immortal.omg, i realised that this post is tremendously long !shall stop here.bytheway, if any of you dontknow what SETI,its a huge thing, that would track down existence life up there.
